A new scene!

For those of you who have read my novel, there is a new scene that I think explains alot and adds more. Its in Chapter 1, in the girls cabin.

I realized I only had to talk to them to feel better. I couldn’t remember the last time I’d hung out with a bunch of girls my age; actually I could all too clearly.

Mom had made me go to a party after a track meet with a few other girls. She insisted that I wasn’t around other girls enough, so I tried to go. It was a Friday night, and like any other high school party there were far too many people, loud music, and beer.

I refused to drink anything, while the other four girls I had arrived with were quick to grab a cup and a guy. Within ten minutes I was by myself on a couch as others around me socialized and got high.

But I didn’t know what to do. If I went home now mom might get upset. But I sure didn’t want to stay.

As I was trying to make up my mind as to what to do, a guy fell onto the couch next to me, “Hey.” He greeted.

I smiled nervously not sure what to do, and then he spoke again with a slight slur, “Havn’t I seen you before?”

He had. His name was Gary and I was in his Geometry class, plus his girlfriend was on the track team with me. Still I shook my head no.

“Are you sure?” He slurred, squinting at me. Then the answer hit him, “Jules! Jules Glau. You’re that crazy runner, the one who broke the school record.” This actually was true, a month ago I had broken the school’s record for the fastest mile run.

So, I nodded my, “Yes that was me.” And he put an arm around my shoulders, “Well then!” He said and he started to lean into my face.

Maybe it was the contact, maybe it was the smell of beer and smoke. Or maybe it was just because I was so uncomfortable and the physical contact was some kind of trigger, but before I knew it I had jumped up from the couch and ran out of the room.

Everyone was so drunk or buzzed that none of them even noticed me as I sprinted away from the house. I was maybe five miles from home, not a long distance to walk especially since mom wasn’t expecting me home for several hours.

But right around then my brain started going a little wonky. I recognized the feeling and swore.

You see, I have some issues with my memory. The doctors say there’s nothing wrong with my head, but for some reason I can’t remember a thing about what happened so that I was put into Witness Protection.

Except for these times. Every few weeks my brain goes kind-of crazy and suddenly I can remember everything in vived detail. The problem is that when this happens I go kind of psycho. Its hard to explain, but the memories are so painful that I can’t handle it.

The first time this happened my mom totally freaked out. Apparently I was screaming at one point and she called Scott. He was calm the entire time, sat next to me and told me to tell him what I was seeing.

Eventually he helps my brain work out of it and calm down. But I can never remember what I was seeing that made me go psycho afterwards.

A week and a half later it happened again. I learned gradually to lock myself in a room and call Scott. He came, took notes from what I managed to spit out, and helped me calm down.

And now, as I walked away from a party, I felt the weight of memory on my brain. I pulled out a phone and hit the 2nd speed dial.

I shoved all of that that out of my brain though and paid close attention to Elle as she explained that she had gotten her otter from her first boyfriend five years ago.

I would like to introduce Insomnia. Insomnia and I have been seeing each other frequently for the past year or so, but I didn't think I was ready for a serious commitment. However in the past weeks, I have seen so much of Insomnia that I don't think that there is any point in denying it any further.

It is time. Insomnia actually made the decision for me, and is moving in permanently now. Thought you all would like to know.

No more hope for Stargate Movies?

As many of you know I am a very big Stargate fan (Save for Stargate Universe, and don't even get me started there)

Now, with the cancellation of Atlantis we were promised, up and down Wright and Cooper swore we would get and Atlantis movie. Well, that was a year ago and so far I've heard Zilch on that.

Then SyFy Tweets this "Check out 20 awesome #Stargate props headed to auction: http://tinyurl.com/ycnglwo" Now, I have no money but I checked it out anyways, and I think that this may be a sign that there will be no more Sg-1 or Atlantis movies. Why? They are selling some key parts of the Stargate Franchise. Ex. Ronon's Gun, Daniel's Glasses, The Malp, THEY ARE FREAKING SELLING THOR???

There are so many pieces of key Stargate franchise going up for sale. And then somebody showed me this (Thanks AngelJane8) You know what they are selling there? Costumes, and pieces of the Atlantis Gate.

I don't think there will be an Atlantis movie, unless they are planning to replace half the props, or do some majoy C.G.I.

I is an Epic Lollipop.

If you follow me on twitter, or facebook then you've probably read me talking about being an Epic Lollipop. And I am one! I'm not going to explain it, but if somebody can tell me what youtuber calls his subscribers epic lollipop, I will give you a dollar and a lollipop.

So, this is a blogpost about what's going on with me recently. As always its better to just list these things out.

1. I got my own cell phone! Woot-woot! You can comment if you want it, I'm not going to post it. Because that is kinda stupid if you ask me. Some crazy stalker might be reading this blog I don't know!
2. I've been writing fanfiction again. Alice (of course) two stories, one was a three parter and then the other one is just drabbles. Or little scenes between Hatter and Alice that usually include an arguement or kissing ;-)
3. My entire book is now online. If you didn't know this already you fail, and go to thewitnesses.wordpress.com to read it
4. I am now putting out a video every Tuesday. And I promise next weeks will not be Alice. It will be Evil Iguana Productions cause I miss those guys a bunch (Craig, upload 23!!!) and cause Allen is leaving. (Just a little despair there_
5. If you've made it this far into the blog then you deserve a little treat! I am going to change the title of my novel. Well, not totally change it, expand it. As I've been plotting out this little trilogy of mine, I've started thinking about titles for the other two. As a result I am changing just plain "The Witnesses" to "The Witness; First Freedom" or something like that.

Thoughts? Random words you want to say for me to try and use in tonights fanfiction? Theres a little box below for that :-)

Who doesn't like a good dream sequence?

“The clockworks not ticking properly. Why is a raven like a writing deck?”

Blobs of green went up and down moving slowly. Blackness everywhere else. Two stout men pranced around a chair singing, “The sun was shining on the sea, shining with all his might he did his very best to make the billows smooth and bright.”

At the word bright the cattle prod was stabbed into Hatter’s side again. The electricity burned his skin, and left his sides aching. He screamed. Then they took it out and continued to dance around him.

“But mother Oyster winked her eye and shook her heavy head. She knew too well this was no time to leave her oyster bed.” This time the prod want into his neck. Hatter couldn’t even open his mouth this time, and blood started down his shirt. He could feel it oozing. Warm and slick.

“But answer there came none. And this was scarcely odd, because, they'd been eaten, every one!” Dee finished the song, “Poor little oysters. Just like your little friend, she’ll be sucked dry.”

Hatter pulled again at the chair at the mention of Alice and this time Dee swung the stick at his head, “None of that!” Before the stick could hit him though Hatter yelled.

Quest for Camelot

So.

Recently I watched a Hatter/Alice video to the Lion King's Can you feel the love tonight (Done by a buddie of mine, hatterandalice check her on youtube!) after laughing hysterically I started browsing through some Classis Disney stuff on youtube.

Then I found Quest for Camelot, which was my favorite animated movie when I was little. I know, its not Disney (Its Warner Brothers for those who are wondering) but anyways I watched it and perused every video I could find of it. I'm about to go watch it now (Can't help myself, lol) but before I do, I wanted to ask, What is your favorite animated movie from when you were a kid? Be it a Disney Classic, or slightly less known Warner ;-)

I tend to get a sense of nostalgia while watching these old classics from when I was little. A bit of me feels like I'm 5 again.

Major Novel update!!!

Not as bad of a day as the rest of the week. I spent 4 hours dividing my novel into proper chapters. 19 total btw. Then I sent it off to createspace, where they will make sure all of my formatting is good for future publishing. Yes, officially I am saying that I want to publish my novel.

Its far from being ready, many scenes have to be rewritten, all of Zach's P.O.V.'s are going to be taken out, and we are going to see much more of Jule's flashbacks. I am going to upload everything to thewitnesses.wordpress.com tonight. And I mean all 19 chapters. Why? Because I want you awesome people to read it and give me feedback. Call this a group project. So head over to thewitnesses.wordpress.com or if you really want I can just send it to you as an email attachment. Comment below for that with your email if I don't have it already.

I am not deprived!!!

See the title. Lemme explain.

I am constantly told I have been deprived because there are several things I have not done or seen that apparently everyone has.

1. Seen Mary Poppins, The Nightmare Before Christmas (Actually I recently saw that one, but when I started this blog post I hadn't seen it yet.)
2. Sent a text message
3. Had sex (Conversation with one of my non christian girls inspired this one)
4. Seen anything about the Ninja Turtles. (So I have NO idea what you are talking about when you refer to them!!! Stop doing it!!!)
5. TP'd a house

Among many other things. And I would like to stand up for myself.

A. While there are many movies and TV shows that I have not seen, there are many more that I have. What 5 year old watched Star Trek Voyager every night? Me. And I am proud of it!
B. While I have never sent a text message, that means I have never racked up a phone bill. Something I am sure my parents are glad of.
C. I am not even going to go into that one aside from to say, "Marriage woman! Marriage!"
D. OK, somebody might have to show me the ninja turtle stuff.
E. I'm still young arn't I ;-)
